Shannon lost her umpteenth last night (meaning I lost count). It's our last encounters with the tooth fairy, so it's bittersweet. The tooth fairy had to answer a note from her asking why her friend Jordan no longer gets visits from the tooth fairy when she loses a tooth.
the end of an era. Save that note for me...I'll need it someday :(

Yeah, if any more teeth get lost, the Tooth Fairy may need to borrow one of yours....ick.
Tom, the "tooth fairy" is the only fable we used with the boys, and we told them from the beginning that the tooth fairy was not real. We made the boys put the teeth in envelopes with the amount of money they expected to get for that tooth. We took another envelope and marked it exactly like the first one and put money in it. It was fun the first time or two. Then they just got two envelopes out and put a tooth in one and brought the other one to us to put the money in. It was a good game and lots of fun.
